Fate Yorkshire Puddings
- 275g FATE LOW PROTEIN ALL-PURPOSE MIX
- 3 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 170 ml OIL
- 350ML WARM WATER
- A FEW DROPS OF YELLOW FOOD COLOURING
METHOD
- Pre-heat the oven to Gas Mark 7 or 220º/c
- Place the Fate All-Purpose Mix, baking powder and salt into a jug
or mixing bowl. - In a jug, measure out the water and oil and add a few drops of
the yellowing colouring. - Add all the liquid at once to the dry mixture.
- Using an electric hand mixer (or a whisk) mix on high speed for
about 2 minutes. It will then be a smooth light mixture which looks
like a thick and creamy mayonnaise. - Spoon the mixture into a greased 12 hole Yorkshire Pudding tin
and bake in a pre-heated oven for 20 minutes until risen and
brown.
I have tried the Yorkshire Puddings using Fate Low Protein All Purpose Mix but they look like cake buns. I then tried a second batch making a well in the centre, during cooking this filled in and again they look like cake buns. I followed the ingredients quantities and the method. How can I make them look like the picture above?
